Despite the location of Star Liquor being almost next door, the Willy St. Coop has decided to move ahead with applying for an alcohol license to sell beer, wine and cider. The proposal expects to increase Co-op sales by $400,000 per year, but without any impact to Star. A recent neighborhood meeting was held, and from the tone of posts on the neighborhood message boards, it appears as though there will not be much opposition.
